Special Forces Soldiers studying tracks

“My good Hopkins, I have investigated many crimes, but I have never yet seen one which was committed by a flying creature. As long as the criminal remains upon two legs so long must there be some indentation, some abrasion, some trifling displacement which can be detected by the scientific searcher.” Sherlock Holmes. The Adventure of Black Peter, 1904. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. |
In the process of learning, practicing and performing these skills, there is an automatic sharpening of the powers of observation, detection and deduction. There is also an establishment of a mindset of a high alertness to situations, an extreme awareness of the surroundings, a keen attention to details, and a habit of movement that is disciplined, organized and controlled. These qualities can enhance unit and personal survival, especially in this environment of increased and unconventional criminal and terrorist activity.
